<i>The beautiful flowers garlands still adorned both sides of it's entrance. </i><br />

<i>We thought we were early for lunch, the queue looks promising almost like 25</i><br />
<i>people in front of us.</i><br />

<i>The queuing system needs to be remedy, it's took us almost 1 hour to get a seat.</i><br />
<i>the waitresses comes out and goes in then lets in one or two persons and the rest</i><br />
<i>waited. </i><br />
<br />
<i>The wait was well worth it, the ramen turned out to be good-springy and the </i><br />
<i>sightly secret recipe broth was creamy and fragrant-the bbq pork belly </i><br />
<i>was melt in the mouth with good fats to lean ratio. </i><br />
<br />
<i>The soft marinated egg was bite sized (wished it was a whole egg) and love </i><br />
<i>the soft crunchy marinated bamboo shoots which goes well with the ramen.</i><br />

<i>First time here at Restoran New Apollos, USJ, Subang Jaya,</i><br />
<i>a neighbor coffee shop filled with all the local specialty stalls </i><br />
<i>and there is even a Nasi Kandar run by a Chinese, too.</i><br />

<i>Our target was the fried beef noodle with ginger and spring onion in </i><br />
<i>a dark egg gravy (Myr10) and fried Cantonese styled yin yong noodle </i><br />
<i>with liver, pork, prawn in a too starchy egg gravy. (Myr8)</i><br />

<i>Parking is ample in a giant parking lot, nearby and if you park along the </i><br />
<i>street - the parking meter is always faulty.</i><br />

<i>We arrived just before noon and the restaurant was in a festive mood with</i><br />
<i>it's Christmas's decor.</i><br />

<i>A quick run through the menu and on placing our order, was told chicken </i><br />
<i>wings and drumettes are not available- how can it be, just open for business</i><br />
<i>no stocks ???? </i><br />

<i>Instead they replaced it with fried chicken balls (quite a number of tendons)</i><br />
<i>- garlic and honey soy flavor served with fried wedges.</i><br />

<i>We drove downtown and was hoping to find a nice place to park</i><br />
<i>in Madras Lane - a good axis point to all of our makan places,</i><br />
<i>but alas a foreign filming crew and their vehicles occupied </i><br />
<i>the whole parking lot.</i><br />

<i>We then drove around and was lucky to find a parking spot</i><br />
<i>(Rm4/hour) next to a Chinese Temple at the entrance of Petaling Street.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>First place to eat was Lala in rice vermicelli soup and Beef noodle</i><br />
<i>at Restoran Lai Foong, a good ten minutes walk from one end to the other.</i><br />
<i>Well worth the walk - lala was delicious, gingery, refreshing and intoxicating to</i><br />
<i>the taste buds while the beef koay teow noodle was passable - nice</i><br />
<i>broth and generously sized. </i><br />

<i>Next we took a slow walk through a side lane to Sang Kee </i><br />
<i>(a stone throwaway from here), famous for their fried noodles.</i><br />
<i>We had a two pax fried beef koay teow noodle with ginger slices </i><br />
<i>and spring onion - good wok hei, gingery and tender beef slices.</i><br />
<i>Plus a plate of delicious Yin Yong noodle with an eggy gravy for my wife.</i><br />
