Gao Ren Guan (PJ) Sdn Bhd @ Jaya One.

With a tag line- "feels just like dining at home" the food must be good!

Gao Ren Guan is the new kid on the block at Palm Square @ Jaya One, taking over where Secret Recipe left.

The main draw of Gao Ren Guan is their home-made style of Gao Chow dishes.

I have been to their first branch in Bandar Puchong Jaya when they newly opened and came away satisfied.

This present location suit me fine because it's near my home.

An L-shaped ceiling to floor glass panel enclosed one side of the restaurant

We opted for a table with an outside view.

Parking is OK.

A bit of entertainment before the meal-Nicholas shows off his magnetic power with a serving spoon.

Braised stuffed Bean curd puff in a soupy juicy broth-soft with fillings of finely chopped preserved vegetable/minced pork-Rm18/

Braised stuffed mini Bittergourd-over braised-too soft-not too bitter but "kam"-with the same type of fillings of the bean curd puff-Rm16/

Steamed chicken with crunchy black fungus, ginger and knotted lily buds-very flavorful-tender and meaty-Rm14/

Swwet and sour pork-with sliced green capsicum, onion and pineapple-meaty and the kids loves it-Rm24/

Braised Duck with ginger-with sweet pea and sliced carrot- distinctive flavor-mum's favorite-Rm16/

Fried Squid with rings and tentacles-lightly batter-crunchy and chewy-Rm18/

Braised Pig's Offal like ear, nose and big intestine-too diluted gravy with a porky smell-Rm18/

Total bill:Rm170/

  3. I've only tried the Puchong one once and didn't return as it was too far with me. May give this a try if I'm in this area, since it is much easier. Thxs so much for the info.
