Ipoh Beef Kuey Tiaw @ MakanTime.

I  needed something warm to fill up tummy on a super wet, rainy Saturday morning.

Thought of having Nasi Kerabu @ MakanTime but on arrival found out that
it's only available on Fridays.

The metal arch of creeping Butterfly pea flower plant catches our eyes at the entrance.

They serve the usual kopitiam fares but with more value for money dishes, even
their packet nasi lemak (takeway) is packed with good ingredients and is spicyly numbing.

I ordered the Ipoh Beef Kuey Tiaw - served with smooth thin flat rice noodle, quality
beef slices,  freshly made beef balls(wish their were bigger). garnished with freshly
chopped spring onion and coriander leaves in a light fragrant beefy broth.

My wife had a thick toast of butter and sugar - an insane amount of sugar,
have to scrapped off the sugar to eat it.

Kueh mueh were enticing and looks good, will try it next time.

Location: G-63-G, Jalan  Teknologi 3/9,
Bistari De Kota, Kota Daansara, Petaling Jaya.

Melaka City (Half Day)

On our back from Johor Baru, we dropped by the historical Melaka city
for a half day makan (food) tour.

First stop was to  - Ming Sate Hut near Plaza Mahkota for their grilled
Pork satay , innards and Chicken  gizzards satay with their irresistible
pineapple/peanut sauce (a Melaka specialty).

Next we drove to nearby Yong Seng Gift Shop to buy 3 in 1 coffee and bisquit.

Then a distance away to Baba Charlie in Tengkera to buy and takeaway nyonya
kueh mueh and ate pie tees that was made on the spot by a young guy.

After that all the way to Cafe  Lin's in Limbongan, for a wholesome Peranakan
home cooked chap fan (economy rice) lunch,  buah keruak curry and cendol.

Assorted Kueh @ Bidor.

It's a mobile stall situated at a corner shop side entrance-directly opposite off the Bidor town bus station.

Open daily at about 2.30 pm except for Wednesday.

Quite popular with the locals and their assorted kueh mueh are not too sweet with no artificial colorings.

I personally like their kueh talam, 9 layered kueh, black kueh (made from chicken vine ) and prawn fritters.

The last time when I was there at about 4 pm, most of my favorites were sold out.

KUEH MUEH -SWEET DESSERT.

This kueh mueh (sweet dessert and pastry) mobile stall is located in front of a coffeeshop along Jalan ThambyPillai, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, next to Hotel Lido and opposite a TUNE Hotel under construction.

The husband and wife team does roaring business with the hustle and bustle of customers pushing and shoving to select/buy the best of their delicacies during the lunch time peak hours.

Most of their delicacies are very authentically-made, flavorful and delicious.

Opens around 12.30 pm.

Husband and wife team.

Delicious mouthwatering spread of kueh mueh and pastry to satisfy each and everyone's tastebuds.

Bought assorted kueh mueh (above) plus one Glutinous rice dumpling for Rm12.50/

Glutinous rice cake with a hint of saltiness topped with a layer of sweet Pandan Custard .

Curry puff-generously sized with thick creamy Curry gravy, Egg, sliced Chicken meat and Potatoes-yummy.

Or Koo-Green Pea filling-soft and tasty.

Glutinous rice Dumpling-filled with Mungbean, Pork, Mushroom, salted Duck egg and Chestnut-one portion was devoid of filling.

Prawns fritters filled with Chinese Chives was crispy and crackling-with a good dip of Chillies sauce.
