Restoran Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo.

I happened to run an errand around the Ipoh Road area.

And driving from Petaling Jaya I have to pass by Restoran Ipoh
Road Yong Tau Foo before my destination.

The timing was perfect it was just before the lunch time hour
and I have not patronize this place for quite sometimes.

Located in a old bungalow house with some of the fittings still in tact.

I ordered some Yong Tau Foo i.e. brinjal, okra, white tofu, red chillies, fishball,
fried pork dumplings and stuffed beancurd sheet to share with my wife.

The yong tau foo were freshly and nicely fried and the fillings
were quite generous.

We ended the meal with a plate of assorted fruits rojak -not overly sweet
but was fragrant with prawn paste and garnished with so much crunchy
ground peanuts.

Parking is limited.

Kwong Wah Ice Kacang.

After our scrumptious lunch of roast chicken, char siew and
sin choy (pickled mustard green) at Restoran Choon Yien, we adjourned
next door to Kwong Wah Ice Kacang for desserts.

We shared a bowl of chendol and takeaway two coconut buns.
The chendol with finely shaved ice was a real deal for me - the fragrant gula Melaka and thick coconut milk was a winner.

So happy with her bowl of chendol.

The coconut bun was pillowy soft and the grated coconut was sweet and moist.

Bentong Wan Tan Mee @ Kedai Kopi Yun Kei.

Besides the Emperor Bone Soup Noodle in Kedai Kopi Yun Kei,
there is another new stall just behind it that sells wantan mee.

The springy wantan mee is served in a small dainty bowl that
fits it nicely with just the right amount of gravy and served with
lean char siew, firm wanton and added Bentong's Kong Sai styled
tofu puffs with minced pork/fish paste and fragrant chive stuffing.

Another great food stall to have breakfast while my wife does her
marketing.

Bentong stuffed tofu puffs is Rm2 each.

Sanbo/ Emperor Pork Ribs Noodle @ Restoran Yun Kei.

We have been eating at this noodle stall since Day One on a weekly affair.

This guy does not open his stall daily, up to his fancy.

This morning we met up with some friends to savor his specialties,
(the noodles are nothing to shout about) the addictive and peppery
broth is decadent.

I ordered the Sanbo set with keow teow (flat rice noodle) for it's smoothness
and filled with pig's stomach, pork belly slices and a piece of Emperor pork
rib (tender but not much meat) and a peppery broth.

My wife went for the Emperor Pork ribs with the same peppery broth.

Overall a nice tummy warming meal.
