Annual Dinner 2011.

Our annual company dinner are held to thank our loyal staff / workers for their hard work and our  clients for their full support throughout the year.

This year 10 course dinner was held at our office cum warehouse and was catered by Kim Kee Food Catering Sdn Bhd, a famous old school caterer of Chinese cuisine.

There were no late comers and the dinner started right on time at 7:30 pm and ended at 10:00 pm with free flow of beer/wine/carbonated drinks and at the end everyone was stuffed to the brim with the generously sized portion of different dishes.

This Rm430 dinner set is real value for money.

5 Platter Plate-stuffed crab-vegetarian abalone/sea fungus-batter prawn-pork rolls and the center of attraction cold chicken.
Sharkfin soup-cooked with the right consistency.
Eight treasure duck was excellent.
Steamed White Promfret was generously sized and fresh but the spring onion/cilantro garnishing was too much.
Spring Chicken-well marinated-crispy skin. tender and juicy-half portion/person.
Boiled grass prawn-fresh, juicy and succulent but was not sweet.
Stir fried mixed vegetables.
Fried Glass noodle was very aromatic with lots of deep fried finely chopped dried shrimp.
Sweet drink of lotus seed/longan/pak hup.
Sweet dessert-Deep fried red  bean paste pastry / egg  custard encased with dessicated coconut dough.

Cost Rm430/set.

Yong Fu Kua Tong.

Fu Kua a.k.a Bittergourd (momordica caranthia) is a vegetable that put off  a lot of young teenagers because of it's bitter after taste.
But it's nutritional values outweighed all the negative perception.

It's very versatile when it's well cooked and the lists is endless-fried bittergourd with roast pork, bittergourd soup, bittergourd mun fun, fried bittergourd, braised bittergourd with chicken, steamed pork ribs with bittergourd......etc

And my personal favorite is Yong Fu Kua Tong (fishpaste/minced pork/salted fish stuffed bittergourd in a fish bone soup stock).

The stuffed ingredients are springy, meaty and fragrant because of the salted fish and the soup is sweet with a real "kam-ness" taste-topped it up with chopped spring onion and coriander leaves-heavenly !

Eat the stuffed bittergourd with Lingham's garlic/chillies sauce-best!
