Restoran Fatty Crab Sdn Bhd.

Restoran Fatty Crab Sdn Bhd was voted KL's best seafood restaurant by Time Out magazine in 2009.

If I have visitors from overseas, this is the first place on my food itinerary to treat them to a delicious hot, spicy and numbing crab dinner and with toasted white bread to soak up all the tasty gravy !

Be there early on weekends as there is no reservations-only first come first serve basis.

Just bring along your appetite and cash.

Parking is OK.

An appetizer of sliced Century eggs with pickled young ginger to tease your tastebuds -Rm4/
Nicely charcoal grilled meaty chicken Satay on skewers served on the side with slice fresh cucumber and big onion-Rm20/
Deep fried fresh and tender chicken wings with crispy skin-can be very salty sometimes-Rn22/

RESTORAN FATTY CRAB SDN BHD

After flying home from their holiday( Bangkok),my daughter Mindy and her husband Sam played hosts to celebrate my one hundred blog. Oh! what a compliment. After all the Tom Yam Koong, she still needs to have her fix of crabs. I remembered when my wife was pregnant (with Mindy), we ate a lots of crabs, maybe she inherited the habit.Well, tonight the five of was at Restoran Fatty Crabs, a place synonymous for their hot, sweet, fiery and spicy crabs. The food served is very consistent and the place is clean and spacious. The ground floor is open dining with ceiling fans for comfort while the upstairs dining area is air conditioned. The restaurant is always packed with a potpourri of people-no reservation -first come first serve policy! The food served here is halal too, and they only accept cash!

The front of the restaurant.

Steamed crabs-fresh and full of meat.

Fried rice-was not oily-full of ingredients like finely chopped long bean, carrot, egg and prawns.

Satay(L-beef R-chicken)- well marinated with turmeric and charcoal grilled flavor.

Hot and spicy peanut satay sauce.

Their signature dish-all time favorite- A MUST-hot, sweet, sour and spicy crabs-dip toasted bread with the gravy- a real knockout

BBQ chicken wings-crispy and tender.

The soft and firm century egg with pickled ginger-good appetizer!

The gracious host-Mindy.
