VILLAGE PARK RESTAURANT.

For last Sunday breakfast, my wife and I ate two rich and fulfilling snack meal at Village Park Restaurant in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya.

It was delicious!

This restaurant served kueh mueh and a good varieties of halal food, business was brisk.

It was a good advertisement when they placed a photo in the counter shelf of one of our former PM and his family having a meal in the restaurant.

Service was good and parking on weekends is OK.


Nasi Lemak-steamed coconut flavored white whole grainy rice served with crispy and meaty Kunyit (turmeric) marinated deep fried chicken thigh, toasted peanut, anchovies, sliced cucumber, half an egg and a dollop of sweet and spicy sambal chillies-very fulfilling-Rm6.80/

Mee Siam-fried spicy fine rice vermicelli with beansprouts-served with crispy and meaty Kunyit (turmeric) marinated fried chicken, sliced cucumber and a dollop of sweet and spicy sambal chillies-Rm7/

Cucur Badam (deep fried) made of sweet potato dough with flavorful and spicy, herbaceous grated coconut fillings-topped with a small shrimp-cute and tasty, too-Rm0.90/

this shop is never empty even on the weekends. even though i always pass by there, but i am just too lazy to Q for food =/

I passed by one time, and tot wah! finally managed to find.
but we skipped for we were in search of Wondermilk. Next time then ...

Should go and try out the Malay Thai restaurant nearby. It's called Vicchuda. The food also very good.

You should try their nasi dagang next time. It's quite good.

Also, I find that adding a bulls eye egg (RM1) on top of the nasi lemak makes it nicer. =)

This is one hot place in DU, usually packed by Big Car Malays out for old styled Malay ( err Chinese ) food !

i think alissara of puchong is nicer than vichuda... it's more aunthentic in terms of tomyam...
