Yat Ka Yan-One Family Dim Sum and Dessert located in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya
opens as early as 7 am.
Service was slow-there were only three tables, I do not know how they cope when the place is full.
The delectable Dim Sum( less 20 % for early birds) save the day.
Parking is OK.
Clean white marble top table and sturdy black shellac chairs. |
Oil lamp to keep away the flies but there was one irrational pesty fly around. |
Teo Chew Siew Mai-shrimp/minced pork/spring onion wrapped with wanton skin-well marinated and flavorful. |
Porridge with strip of lean pork and century egg and chopped spring onion-a bit sweet tasting-would be better if it's smoother. |
Steamed fish ball on the side with cube carrot, corn, green pea (like it better with pieces of Chinese long cabbage)-very fresh and springy. |
Fried carrot cake with bean sprout, chive and egg-very crispy and full of radish flavor-not oily and one of their signature dish-5 stars! |
Chicken thigh meat wrapped with bean curd sheet-fresh and meaty but a bit salty. |
Pu er tea to finish the meal. |
