Hon Kee Porridge @Petaling Street.

A year has passed,  eating porridge at Hon Kee is only when
we go downtown KL to offer prayers at the Sin Sze Ya Temple.

At least, four times a year it's Hon Kee Porridge for our breakfast
of sang yu zhuk (slices of fresh big head carp fish).

Now, they have evolved into selling chee cheong fun to compete
with their neighbouring stalls.

Their other branches just do not have the same consistency of
cooking the porridge that we ate here, even the fish slices garnished
with oil, julienned ginger, chopped spring onion and coriander leaves
looks so glistening fresh.

Their chee cheong fun with sweet brown  sauce and sesame seed
was comparable to it's competitors.

Location: Crossroad of Petaling Street,
Kuala Lumpur.

Hon Kee is over rated and too pricey. Cost us rm100 for 4pax of porridge. Worst now competing and claiming to be careful of imitators when they are selling chee cheong fun now. Who are they imitating if not the neighboring chee cheong fun seller next door.
