Frog Porridge@Restoran New Lucky

This porridge stall located in Restoran New Lucky in Seri Petaling is one of my favorite.

The husband and wife team are friendly and obliging.

Besides frog, there are White Promfret, Sea Prawn, Lala (Clam), Garouper and lots of Cilantro and chopped Spring Onion to go with the Porridge.

I, normally order Garouper fish fillet porridge but for a change I went for the farmed frog porridge which was average.

Parking is OK.

A packet of Tissue paper is provided to wipe up the sweat after eating the porridge-a great idea!

Chinese Crullers-a great combination with the porridge.

Frog Porridge served on a piping hot Clay pot-white gooey translucent porridge mixed with Cilantro and chopped Spring onion-the tender and sweet frog meat were cut into bite sizes but I prefer those wild ones !-Rm13/

Scooped the porridge into a smaller bowl for cooling purpose and easy eating.

Curry mee/ Clear broth noodle.

The open air market in the busy Seri Petaling township is a hive of activities in the early hours of the morning.

Hawkers with their stalls neatly arranged on both sides of the road were calling and canvasing for customers with their goods like vegetables, fish, fruits, pork .......etc

After our marketing, time for breakfast and there is a corner low-cost house converted into a coffee shop nearby the market which served a good mean hot and spicy Laksa.

Clear broth noodle filled with minced pork, deep fried wanton, Char Siew (BBQ pork) and beansprout and chopped spring onion-tasty soup but was average- Rm4.50.

Curry Laksa filled with Loh Si Fun (short round rice flour noodle), Tofu puff, fragrant Char Siew, deep fried crispy wanton, lots of beansprout and a poached tender and smooth chicken drumstick-the red creamy, hot and spicy curry gravy lends a fantastic flavor to it-Rm6/

Hot and spicy chillies oil for extra zing!

STEAMBOAT

HO HO STEAMBOAT
Seri Petaling

This restaurant have 3 shop lots, 2 air conditioned and the rest alfresco style along the sidewalk. Instead of charcoal fire, they used gas and induction cooker. The broth for the soup was clear and only one type. It was sweet and flavorful after all the ingredients are cooked. The ingredients are fresh-garoupa fish fillet, prawns, white soft bean curd, bean curd skin, fish noodle, beehoon, yee mee, eggs, two types of vegetables. The chillies sauce plus sweet bean sauce was a good dip for the cooked food. The side dishes are charged separately! Parking is ample.
