THE ESQUIRE KITCHEN SDN BHD

The Esquire Kitchen at Atria Shopping Complex in Petaling Jaya is one of their oldest branch apart from Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur.
They served authentic and affordable Shanghainese and Szechuan home style dishes.
When we were there for our lunch, the place was packed with noisy diners
(due to the bad sound insulation).
The colorful menu is varied and cater to bo
th the young and old.
The restaurant is a Grade "A" premise (for cleanliness and good hygiene) accorded by the M.P.P.J.
The service was prompt but we were put off by their old and sour faced waitresses.
Luckily the good food made up for it.

Steamed dumplings (Siu Long Pao)-filled with flavorful minced meat but would have tasted better with more of the essential juices -Rm5.80/

Slices of fine, young Ginger with Black vinegar (for the Siu Long Pao)-Sweet bean paste chilies sauce (for the noodles), Garlic and chilies sauce (for Siu Long Pao).

Pork noodle with Char Choy-the pickled Chinese Mustard was crunchy and the noodle was exceptionally smooth with a clear and tasty soup topped with strips of lean pork-Rm8.90/.

Stir fry Chicken Paprika -an intriguing mosiac of lean, tender meat, toasted Cashew nuts, fiery Red hot dried chilies and Green stalks of Spring onion-sweet and spicy gravies-Rm 17.00/
.
Flower buns (made from Wheat flour)-without filling-dip, sponge and eat it with the Chicken Paprika and gravy-soft and fluffy-Rm3.60/.

Total bill:Rm43.00/
Location:Lot 10&11, Ground Floor,
Atria Shopping Complex,Jalan SS22/23,
Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya.

The flower buns is what I would order whenever I eat in Esquire. It just goes with almost any dish that has tasty gravy.

So many ginger slices in the serving dish for the Xiao Long Bao! We usually get so little here.

Some how the steamed soup dumplings look like fried buns, as it looks oily on top!

Good ole Esquire, being eating with them for over 20 years I guess. Brinjal with minced meat and braised pork knuckle most of the time.
