WAITROSE SARDINE PICCANTI ON SLICED BAGUETTE.

For our Sunday afternoon tea time, my wife made some "finger food" for snack out of a can of Waitrose Sardine Piccanti and half a French baguette with some red Cherry tomatoes and a big onion.

Waltrose Sardine Piccanti (120g) is Sardine fillets in Olive oil (27%) with hot Chilli, Sea Salt and Pepper-Rm9/

French Baguette-cut into 1 inch thick slices and oven toasted for awhile for crispiness-Rm1.50/

Separate the sardine fillet into halves.

Coarsely diced one big Onion and six red Cherry Tomatoes.

Placed the diced Onion and red Cherry Tomatoes on the toasted baguette-topped it with a piece of Sardine and drizzled with the Olive oil from the can.

The boneless Sardine meat was flaky and firm, just a wee bit spicy and together with those diced piquant red Cherry Tomatoes, pungent Onion and healthy Olive oil, it was a terrific and nutritious snack!

I always keep a tin of sardines in the pantry for a quick nutritious lunch. Your sardine piccanti looks better than my sardines on crackers. You had me at "baguette."
