RESTAURANT EXTRA SUPER TANKER(PJ) SDN BHD.

Oh! what a unique name for a Chinese restaurant- Restaurant Extra Super Tanker!!!!
Location wise, it is just a stone throwaway from the Damansara Specialists Hospital in Damansara Kim.

From the exterior it was impressive but once we stepped inside i think the restaurant was desperately in need of some refurbishment.

A gracious waitress greeted and welcomed us at the door and politely ushered us to our table in the middle of the restaurant.

We were served braised Soy peanuts and Acar (assorted pickled vegetables) for appetizer and for drinks we opted for a pot of "Pu-erh" tea.

As we were hungry, we ordered their signature and Chef's recommendation dishes, a fail safe method that never disappoint.

The Thousand Layer Crispy Beancurd-garnished with freshly chopped Spring Onion and deep fried fragrant Shallots and bathed in Light Soy sauce-crispy, firm, smooth and layered with Housemade Fish and Meat paste-a noteworthy dish!-Rm22/

Prawn Omelette (Wrong order) was served instead of Fried Crabmeat with Egg and Pine seed-anyway it was generous with prawns and well browned-Rm15/.

Fried Squid (Calamari)-well battered, crispy, spicy and chewy-Rm15/.

Braised Pork ribs with Pig' stomach-a surprisingly good combination-Herbal flavored-tender and meaty-Rm50/.

The Star of the night-A huge Steamed Red Snapper in Light Soy sauce-garnished with Coriander leaves and Spring Onion-sweet, smooth and fine in texture-Rm96/.

White Hong Kong Cabbage in superior soup-crunchy and stemmy-Rm20/.

Total bill:Rm250/.
Location: 48, Jalan SS20/10.
Damansara Kim,
Petaling Jaya.
Tel:03-7726-7768.

Wow... I didn't expect that the Thousand Layer Crispy Beancurd looks so appetizing. I haven't seen it at any Chinese restaurants here in Jakarta.

Gee...Extra Super Tanker?!?! That is the most unique name I have ever heard for a restaurant. Certainly beats names like Taste Pilot Grill or Bamboodles :).

I like pu-erh tea. Very bold flavor and very yummy. Apparently it also is a very healthful drink...

The thousand layer crispy beancurd looks amazing. The layers make the bean curd so appetizing. I recently had some layered food as well.
