LA LA CHONG SEAFOOD RESTAURANT SDN BHD.

One month ago, Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant Sdn Bhd was relocated from the Subang Airport Terminal 3 area to Kayu Ara because the land owner wanted the land back for redevelopment.

Now in Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya, they have Pantai Seafood Restaurant and Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant as neighbors and competitors.

This place is more spacious-warehouse-like, with a sectioned area for air conditioned dining.
We opted to dine in the open area as the weather was fine and breezy.

Sharon the young, attentive and knowledgeable waitress recommended their signature dishes to us.

Parking is ample.

Warehouse-like open dining and a sectioned area for air conditioned dining.

Appetizer-Chicken and Beef Satay-the Peanut gravy was overwhelmed with Curry powder-terrible!-Rm11/

Lala (Clams) in superior soup with Bird's eye Chillies to perk up the flavors a few notch higher!-Rm15/

Stir fried Paku Choy (wild Fern) with cloves of Garlic and Tuna-tender and crunchy with the flaky Tuna and red Chillies lending a great flavor to the dish-Rm15/.

Steamed Pak Soh Koong (white whisker farmed Catfish) about 850 gm-garnished with finely sliced young Ginger, sprigs of Coriander leaves, deep fried Garlic and bathed in good grade Soy sauce-fresh, smooth and no fishy smell-Rm27/.

Salt baked meat Crabs (1 1/2 kg)-was surprised to see red and green Bird's eye chillies and smashed old Ginger baked with the crabs-fresh, sweet and succulent-Rm59/.

Sandy was late for the dinner, she ate the leftovers!-lol.

Total bill:Rm160/
Location:Lot 13556, Jln Cempaka Kayu Ara,

You had all their signature di shes, hehe! I like their lala - always fresh and clean. But then whenever we go there, we tend to order those few signature dishes againand again! Not much variety.

PGlutton-you can go for their fresh mantis prawn, oyster or river fish.
