RESTORAN KASSIM MUSTAFA SDN BHD 24 HRS.

After a late tea time meal of Char Kway Teow, we went for a brisk walk along the Gurney Drive Esplanade, Penang to enjoy the windy sea breeze and the sound of rolling sea waves was music to our ears plus some window shopping at Gurney Plaza.

At about 8.00 pm, we went to Restoran Kassim Mustafa, a 24 hours Indian-Muslim restaurant which is situated around the Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling area, for Nasi Kandar.

Opens 24 hours-a lot of takeaway, too.

A wide arrays of cooked food.

Oven roast Tandoori Chicken.

Close up of some of the enticing foods available.

Nasi kandar-I selected a piece of Kurma Chicken drumstick topped with Fish gravy, Prawn gravy, Vegetable gravy and a piece of Chinese Chives Omelette-white rice was fluffy-the tender and moist chicken meat enveloped by the various types of gravy was bursting with savory goodness-Rm7/.

Location: 12, Lebuh Chulia, Penang.

Today is Hari Raya for Muslims, most other Nasi Kandar shops are closed. Went to Kassim Mustafa near the Little India- Near Masjid Kapitan. No other words to describe...one of the best !! Their speciality is the rice is parboiled rice with various curry mix. The only thing missing is fresh chillies.
