Sin Hup Kee Restaurant.@Puchong.

Bandar Puteri in Puchong is a real melting pot for many types of cuisine and pastry.

Many restaurants come and go and I noticed that only the strong and the best establishment survived the onslaught.

Sin Hup Kee Restaurant which has it's roots in Ipoh, Perak is joining in the fray with Hon Kee Porridge, Fu Kua Thong, Bak Kut Teh , Teow Chew porridge....etc as neighbors.

My daughter Mindy invited us to join her for dinner as her hubby Sam was in Singapore.

The place is new, clean and fuss-free but communication with their waiters was real bad !

Parking is OK.

Black pepper fish fillet-the Garouper fish fillet were thick and fresh-with just the right amount of pepper to flavor it up-star of the night !-Rm16/

Signature stir fried Chicken-the chicken thigh cuts tasted like Marmite chicken-fragrant, tender, meaty with crispy skin-Rm14/

Tofu with diced  Pickled Lettuce-the tofu was bland but the pickled lettuce/minced pork goes well with rice-Rm12/

Fiery Pork Ribs-turned out to be not fiery-not much meat and the gravy was a bit salty-Rm18/

Stir fried Brinjal with Long bean-with deep fried crispy dried shrimps and topped with diced garlic-was surprised that it was not oily-Rm10/

Watermelon came in a heart shape was complimentary.

Total bill: Rm80/

Restoran Hai Thian.

One of my staff raves about the tasteful food dished out by Restoran Hai Thian, a 10 shoplots restaurant in Bandar Putra Permai.

Restoran Hai Thian was formerly located in Seri Kembangan just in front of Pasaraya Grand Union.

Yesterday, we went there for dinner and the exterior of the longish 10 shoplots restaurant was a sight to behold.
The interior was tasteful decorated and service was attentive and efficient.

As for the food I feel that their chefs are a bit highhanded on the salt content of most of their dishes.

Parking is OK.

Main entrance of this 10 shoplots restaurant.

A 360' photo of the 12 of us.

Salted egg Prawn-the big sized sea prawns were juicy and succulent with the salted egg lending a gorgeous flavor to it.

Deep fried Tilapia fish-crispy on the outside with fresh and tender flesh and the soy sauce was of good grade.

Tofu braised with peanuts-smooth and silky deep fried Tofu with the well braised generously sized peanut was perfect.

Garlic pork ribs-well marinated, meaty and the chopped garlic complemented it.

Baby French bean stir fried with Mui choy-the preserved salty Mui Choy added more flavor and crunchiness to the dish.

Pak Cham Kai-poached free range chicken-meat was way TOO tough must be an old aged chicken.

Brinjal stir fried with minced meat-nicely julienne but a bit on the salty side.

Watermelon and Jelly-complimentary.

Total bill:Rm330/

Dragon Star Seafood Restaurant.

Dragon Star Seafood Restaurant is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant- small, unpretentious and consistently served tasty and good Chinese cuisine.

The restaurant location is good because it is along a busy road, nestled among residential houses and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This dinner was a treat from our children and son in law for their mum's birthday.

Service was a bit slow because of their low staff turnout and parking was bearable.

Four season platter-filled with 1. sliced crabstick/egg/seaweed beancurd rolls 2. stir fried sweet pea beans with prawn/deep fried cuttle fish served on a rice vermicelli basket and 3. cold dish of chewy jelly fish and vegetarian abalone-adorned with pieces of fresh lettuce and slices of pineapple-Rm60/

Wok fried Clam with sliced ginger and spring onion-clam meat were meaty and juicy-Rm25/

Deep fried Spring chicken (4)-served with crispy prawn cracker-well marinated with crispy skin and tender moist meat-Rm36/

Steamed Soon Hock -1.2kg (Bamboo fish) with superior grade Soy sauce and peanut oil and garnished with spring onion and cilantro-fish meat was smooth and fine textured-Rm120/

Green Dragon vegetable-leafy and smooth but less pungent than chives-Rm18/

Finished off the meal with watermelon and sweet mango.

The birthday lady and me.
