Roast @ Bangkok.

From our hotel, Roast @Thong lor 13 is just three stations away by BTS sky train.

Locating the place by using our mobile phone, Roast seem so near.

After asking some locals, Thong lor 13 is a 20 minutes walk from the station.

We really did a good walk out to whet up our appetite.

Roast is located on a first floor of a lifestyle mall amid some shops, restaurants and a Muay Thai center.

The place was packed to the brim and we waited in queue.

Chatuchak@Bangkok.

Chatuchak@Bangkok is a partially enclosed open air market.
One of the biggest weekends market in the world covering  an area
of about 35 acres.

Easily accessible by road and the BTS skytrain, stopped at Mo Chit
Station and walked there.

A truly amazing place or "maze"with over 15000 stalls, selling made in Thailand
products, food and anything you can find under the sun !

Make sure to get hold of a map (as it's divided in 27 sections) be in your walking shoes,
shorts and the skimpiest clothes as you will dehydrate faster and drinks lots of water.

Bargaining is a must to get a good deal.

We spent almost 1/2 day there, bought some souvenirs and clothes at bargain prices,
walked until our knees and legs were sore, stopped for lunch and snacks but we missed
the Spanish chef with his funny antics when he cooks paella.

A must visit place when in Bangkok.

Boat Noodle @ Victory Monument.

On arrival in Bangkok at about 11 am, after leaving our baggage
at the hotel, the first thing we did was to search for food.

We took the BTS sky train from Silom to Victory Monument station.

Took a short walk to this place by the riverside ,where there were a
few boat noodle shops.

s

We opted for the end shop (besides the Bangkok Institute of Beauty)
where most of the patrons are locals.

The place were packed to the brim as it was lunchtime.

We ordered 25 bowls of noodles thicken with pork, 5 bowls of noodles
thicken with beef (no chicken on the menu) while drinks are place on the
table with dessert, fried pig's skin, dumpling skin, chillies flakes, sugar,
fish sauce....etc.

That was a helluva of a meal, we tried to break our "record" but there was no place in our tummy,
maybe because of the cold and lousy sandwich we had on the plane.

A cheap and good eats with coconut layered sweet dessert to end the meal.

Location: near to Victory Monument,
Bamgkok. Thailand.
