My brother Meng, Whatapps me a photo of a plate of fried beef noodle from a stall in Subang Jaya.
It's looks so tempting and it was fried by one of the Soo Kee clan's son.
Die, die must try !!
So, off we go, it was just a 15 minutes drive from my place.
First time here at Restoran New Apollos, USJ, Subang Jaya, a neighbor coffee shop filled with all the local specialty stalls and there is even a Nasi Kandar run by a Chinese, too.
Our target was the fried beef noodle with ginger and spring onion in a dark egg gravy (Myr10) and fried Cantonese styled yin yong noodle with liver, pork, prawn in a too starchy egg gravy. (Myr8) The beef noodle stands out with it's generous amount of tender beef slices while the yin yong noodle was overloaded with pig's liver. Will go back to try the Nasi Kandar and the other stalls, too.

There are so many new restaurants opening up in Sri Petaling, a neighbor suburb.
Choo Choo Chicken is the new kid of the block on Banker's street.
Parking is ample in a giant parking lot, nearby and if you park along the street - the parking meter is always faulty.
We arrived just before noon and the restaurant was in a festive mood with it's Christmas's decor.
A quick run through the menu and on placing our order, was told chicken wings and drumettes are not available- how can it be, just open for business no stocks ????
Instead they replaced it with fried chicken balls (quite a number of tendons) - garlic and honey soy flavor served with fried wedges.
And a Choo Choo rice set - sandwhiched with tuna and kimchi plus a spicy fried chicken fillet which was good.
Overall an affordable and meaty (carnivorous) meal.

Have not tried their main branch in Sentul because of it's distance and inconvenience.
Heard that it is a good supper place.
Anyway, this place in Sunway Mas Commercial Centre is just a stone throwaway from my residence.
Always passed by here - the flying embers from the charcoal fire is a sight to behold but never patronize.
This evening the urge for fried noodle was "on" and here we are.
Beside fried noodle they do serve other stir fried dishes, too.
We ordered a Charcoal fire fried Hokkien rice vermicelli / thick yellow noodle, a bowl of Lor Mee in a sticky egg gravy topped with pork lard and generously ingredients and a plate of butter mantis prawns which were fleshy and with fragrant buttery floss.
A great and tasty meal and they did not disappoint !!

The commercial hub of Sri Petaling is quite a happening place.
From local food to upmarket restaurants, family karaoke, pubs, banks supermarket and has one of the best Pasar Malam on Tuesday, it's all there.
Double parking is a habit on weekends even though there is a huge car park just some walking distance away. We were around the place to run an errand and Le Pont Boulangerie caught our attention with its creative and modern interior decor. Their varied lunch set looks attractive, inviting and affordable, too.
Pastry display.
Over hanging tea and glass cups.
The place is new, very comfortable and the food served are generously sized.
We ordered a Chicken Chop (with black pepper, onion sauce, fries and sauteed carrot and mushroom) and a Fisherman Catch ( two big pieces of battered Sole fillet marinated in salt and pepper and served with salad and fries)
Plus a salad and of iced blackcurrant lemon drink, too.
