RESTAURANT FOO WANG (2 visit)

This is the second time we are patronizing this restaurant.

The first was a gastronomic disaster, when we ordered a lunch set for 6 persons, when there was only the three of us.

It was not that the food was bad but the portions was too generous.

Today, after the experience we ordered a set for 3-4 persons.

The food was consistent and the prices were very affordable plus the soup of the day was free!

Steamed Grass Carp with chopped Ginger-expected the Fish belly but got the tail portion instead-was fresh and smooth in texture.

Stir fry Choy Sam-the stalk was plumb and crunchy-leafy too.

Stuffed fish paste Bean curd skin, Eggplant and Red Chillies-filled with sweet bean paste gravy.

Clay pot 3 Cup Chicken-was well marinated and tender and full of Basil leaves flavor.

Preserved Chinese mustard soup with White bean curd, strips of lean pork and tomatoes-soup was tangy with silky smooth white bean curd.

Location map.

Total bill:Rm45/
Location:96-G, Jalan 4/91,

DELICIOUS DINNER 4

A series of home cooked dinner by my wife.

Steamed 3 types of egg's yolk-duck, chicken and century egg-to get the smooth surface leave a small gap on the cover when steaming-was smooth, simple yet satisfying.

Garoper fish head soup with white soft bean curd, preserved Chinese mustard served with spring onion and coriander-tantalizing

Mixed vegetables with glass noodles and sesame oil, chillies pickled bean curd -Chinese round cabbage, golden lily buds, mushroom, black fungus, bean curd skin...etc a bit salty-one of my family's favorite.

Homemade fish paste stuffed green chillies and tau pok with sweet bean paste sauce.- love the presentation-firm and springy-better than Ampang yong tow foo.

RESTAURANT WAI KEE

The two of us was having the Sunday to ourselves. We went to Wai Kee to have lunch. It is actually a family run coffee shop where all the chefs in the kitchen are women! This is the place to eat a real family styled meal. It's signature dishes are yong tow foo, steamed chicken, kow yok, rice wine chicken and other Hakka delicacies. We ordered two types of dishes:

location:Old Klang Road: from KL after the

bridge on your left hand side next to YTM
chicken rice shop.

stuffed bean curd, chillies, bean curd skin, and egg plant.

steamed free range chicken 1/4.
