Restoran Hiing Fatt@Ara Damansara.

One of the few restaurant that's not fully packed to the brim during CNY Festival.

You have a choice of air cond comfort (10% service charge) or ceiling fans.

The interior design were contemporary and modern.

We started the dinner with Loh Sang (1/2 portion@Rm29.80) which was a rather small portion and served on a black plate of all colors (not auspicious).

The rest of the dishes were served in succession which was good in terms of service.

Overall the food was average and the taste was right for my palate.

Parking is OK.

Tofu nest filled with diced chicken, onion, tomato, sweet pea-the deep fried house made tofu has some springiness to it.

Marmite chicken-deep fried and tossed in Marmite sauce-crispy and meaty.

Sweet and sour pork-crisp and crunchy.

Salted egg Baby French bean was coated with salted egg yolk- crunchy but was not flavorful.

“Tong Poh Yuk” (soy sauce braised pork) - chunky, soft, wobbly and well flavored and braised until tender -the layered lean meat and fats just melt  in the mouth.

Lady finger (Okra)- nicely sliced and fried with garlic and dried shrimps-tender.

Yee Sang@Restoran Petaling Kam Kee Seafood.

With the arrival of Spring, do you feel the North wind breeze ?

Day become shorter while the night are longer !

The Chinese New Year festival is round the corner.

Restaurants are selling Yee Sang (raw fish salad is normally eaten on the 7th day of the Chinese New Year Festival) a month in advance.

One of the most affordable and authentic is at Restoran Petaling Kam Kee Seafood @Rm28/ for half portion.

Snake head fish(thinly sliced) Yee Sang-sprinkled with 5 Spices powder, ground white pepper and some squeezed lime juice. Then mixed it up with all the ingredients like pickled ginger, pomelo, thinly sliced radish, carrot, fresh ginger, coriander leaves, spring onions, dough crackers, toasted sesame seeds, ground peanut (taste better with cashew nuts) , add some peanut oil and specially concocted secret sour plum sauce-topped with sprigs of spring onion and coriander leaves-yummy !

Tossing it in unison and as high as possible for wealth and prosperity.

Plan B@Paradigm Mall.

Nowadays, especially on weekend people tend to oversleep after a night of clubbing, karaoke or plain lazy to wake up (rainy season) when we hear the sound of falling rain .

Lunch will be bunched up with breakfast to become brunch !

Plan B is the perfect place for all day breakfast.

We had a comfort and sinful meal before watching a movie and shopping after that.

SinChoiWah Restaurant Sdn Bhd.

We played host to our Singaporean relatives Billy  and Susan at SinChoiWah Restaurant@Kepong Bandar Manjalara.

SinChoiWah Restaurant Sdn Bhd is a grand and majestically looking restaurant with a pillarless ballroom at the top level.

Besides being one of the big player in wedding banquets they served some great dishes for family dinner, too !

 Parking is ok on weekdays.

Braised sea cucmber with mushroom, fish maw, canned limpet and brocolli-was supposed to be "chee por sum"-shortchanged by the chef -gave us cheap mini sized whole sea cucumber.

Roast pork belly(crackling skin) and BBQ Pork (tender and topped with brown sauce) Combo-average.

Sweet and sour Grouper(1 kg plus) -thickly sliced and well fried-topped with tomato/vinegar sauce-fleshy and moist inside.

Deep fried Tofu topped with minced pork and finely chopped petai-good combination and goes well with rice.

Steamed salt baked village chicken-well muscled meat but a bit salty.

Blanched Hong Kong Kai Lan-with oyster sauce-thick stem and leafy.
