WANG CHIEW (2006) SDN BHD

Another weekend dinner with family at Wang Chiew (2006) Sdn Bhd located at SS2/103. They have two shop lots, each sandwiched between another shop. One is air conditioned and the other coffee shop style. I remembered their Chinese New Year dishes were special, popular and of many varieties and hearty. The food was good and tasty, plus the prices are reasonable and won't burn a hole in your wallet. The 8 of us ordered:

Deep fried bean curd in superior gravy-was soft inside-simple-high in protein.

Yam basket filled with stir fry chicken cube, cashew nuts and assorted vegetables-yam was very loose- signified freshness(high in carbohydrate) and chicken cubes was flavorful-cashew nuts- was nutty in flavor

Buttered prawns-lightly battered, not oily, fresh and succulent-the titbits was crispy.

Bayam(spinach) in superior soup- with century egg, deep fried anchovies-leafy-high in iron. Popeye loves it!

Assam curry fish head-lots of greens- the gravy was sourish, spicy and invigorating

Herbal free range chicken-nutritious-lots of tong kwai and yok chuk- have curative properties but the bird was too small.
