After a weekend of sumptuous food, we need to "de-tox" or when we are not felling well, eating porridge is the answer.

Eating porridge in a group is so appetizing and fun.

Chilis@Citta Mall.

 Guest Blog Post by Michelle.

My grandmother do not like to eat Western food except for Betty's Midwest Kitchen (for their porky dishes).

This weekend-when she had gone to Singapore for holidays.

My family and I took the opportunity to eat out @ Chilis @ Citta Mall.

A mall with more restaurants than other businesses.

Parking is free.

Triple Dipper-a combination of three appetizers-generous portions of chicken crispers (well and thickly battered )-wings over buffalo (would be better without the squeeze of lemon ) and South western eggrolls (crispy )-three stalks of celery with three types of sauces for dipping-Rm29.95/

Cajun Club Sandwich-a traditional club sandwich with a kick-stacked high with smoked lean chicken meat-topped with beef bacon, cheddar and Swiss cheese, jalapenos, lettuce and tomatoes plus French fries-garlicky toast-Rm27.95/

Pan Heong Restoran.

My niece, Mun came to our house for a sleepover with a planned day trip to Bentong, the next day.

Next we met up with my daughter Mindy and her hubby Sam@ Pan Heong Restoran for lunch.

Pan Heong is a bustling restaurant with a coffee shop feel.

As no reservations is allowed, we waited awhile and were unlucky to get a number 24 table, right besides the aisle where food are delivered up and down.

But the good, tasty and affordable food made up for all the jostling and scrapping of neighboring chairs

Parking is bearable.

Sliced meaty Loong Tan fish Porridge-more like Cantonese porridge-smooth and gooey-topped with a sprinkling of white pepper, sesame oil, deep fried shallots and chopped spring onion-would love it better with some coriander leaves-Rm19.00

Stir fried Yau Mak with garlic-fresh with a crunch-Rm9.50/

Deep fried Nam Yee Chicken-well marinated - very fragrant with choice cut of chicken wing and drumstick-Rm15.50/

Deep fried fishpaste stuffed foo chuk (beancurd sheet)-crunchy, crackling and springy-Rm7.20.

Lor Mee with two big sized  river prawns and Choy Sam-the homemade mee was gooey and eggy-the prawn was fresh with lots of roe at the head-must be eaten fast to prevent it from turning soggy-Rm50/

Mee Goreng-mamak style with sliced fish cake, egg, shrimp, Choy Sam and topped with deep fried shallots-a squeeze of the calamansi added a twist of tanginess to the mee-Rm 6.50/

Kow Yok mee hoon with Choy Sam-chunky braised pork belly and well marinated with just the right wetness to hold the mee hoon-my favorite-Rm17.00/

Wedding Lunch of Iris Chow and Hoong Fong Chen@Sechuan Seafood Restaurant Sdn Bhd.

Chinese believes that the Year of the Dragon is a good year for marriages.

This beliefs give roaring businesses to Bridal Houses, Wedding Planners and Chinese restaurants in small towns and  cities all over the country..

This wedding lunch of my niece Iris Chow and her husband Hoong Fong Chen was held @ .
Sechuan@Teluk Intan, Perak.

The wedding lunch started on time, much better than those in the cities.

Was surprised with the food served - matching in taste, freshness, quality, quantity and much more cheaper in prices compared with those in KL or PJ.

The lunch ended with mini ice-cream potong (bite sized) instead of sweet dessert and pastries.

 Parking is OK.

Six Treasures of Shark's fin scrambled egg, cuttle fish with rojak like sauce, bacon rolled with vegetables- pork chop, mango with smoked cuttle fish salad and spring roll-a great opening !!!

Double-boiled superior soup with whole chicken, mushroom, some shark fins, sea cucumber and sliced Abalone-full of nutrients and invigorating.

Assam Golden Promfret topped with sliced onion and mint leaves-very fresh and appetizing.

Black sea cucumber (look like prickly skin sea cucumber) stuffed with pork/prawn/carrot and fish paste spread with an oyster like brown sauce and served on the side with blanched broccoli -crunchy, gelatinous and full of collagen.

Stir fried Vegetables with sweet  pea bean, bok choy, mushroom, carrot, vegetarian abalone and fish maw-a good accompaniment to the other dishes..

Noble House@Jln Delima.

Wedding anniversaries are good occasions to rekindle loving and long lasting relationships.

I attended my second Uncle and Auntie's 60th wedding anniversary dinner @ Noble House.

All of their children with spouses/husband and grand children were there to celebrate the joyful occasion with them.

There were karaoke singing of love songs for the couple, the unwrapping of presents, the candle blowing and making a wish before the slicing of a cheesecake to end the simple dinner.

I am envious of them as I am only at my 32nd wedding anniversary.

The food presentation are good and pleasing to the eyes.

Parking is bearable.

Noble House's Seafood three treasures-Scallop with smoked bacon pie (cheesey and flamed) -prawn with mango sauce (fresh and thick dip -wish I could have more )and Salmon cubes in zucchini boat (good crunch to the fresh Salmon)-a good appetizer.

Double-boiled Coral Shark's Fin in coconut with chicken meat and vegetable-the soup was very flavorful and full of nutrients-star of the night.

Braised whole Abalone (tender with every bite) sitting on a piece of silky smooth bean curd topped with grounded dried oyster and fatt choy and blanched broccoli -bathed with a thick brown abalone sauce.

Baked white Tuna fish with special sauce in a Dragon fruit boat-well pan fried, flaky with sesame topping and round white flesh scooped Dragon fruit at the bottom..

Fragrant crispy pork belly in Lettuce- julienned carrot, zucchini and spring onion-wrapped it up and chewed it -was a good exercise for the jaw- a bit salty to my liking.

Fresh water prawn with sang mee (a bit soggy when soaked too long, in superior prawn soup)-the prawn was of the right size but was not so fresh.

Deep fried sweet potato ball and deep fried sesame glutinous ball (served hot and warm) with chilled sweetened Aloe Vera and Longan.

Lemon Cheese cake-moist and fulfilling..

Dragon-i @Setia City Mall.

Guest post by Michelle.

Monday night  shopping trip to H&M@Setia City Mall for clothes and accessories to wear for my cousin sister's wedding next week.

After that we ended at Dragon i for dinner.

A nice and cosy Chinese restaurant with a great view of a shooting waterfall of the Park.

As I am  not a rice eater, I ordered fried beef noodle to go with a few pieces of crunchy cucumber salad and a piece of xiao loong bao (Chinese soup/meat dumpling).

Overall it was a satisfying meal for the five of us.

Cucumber Salad- crunchy but too much vinegar..

Xiao Loong Bao.

Pork Chop rice with French bean serve in a wooden barrel.

Seafood La Mian with slices of fish, squid and shrimp.

My favorite fried thick La Mian with beef.

Vegetarian roast Goose.

Fried rice-fluffy and a bit oily.
